ping ping came over to my place in the afternoon today. after that we went to meet vic ros and jan for dinner in town, and coffee at starbucks. meeting angie and wenhan tmr for dance class and catching up. i must say life really isn't too bad (:
i was just flipping through my diary, which i havent written in in ages cos i've been incredibly lazy. i actually found one of my entries pretty interesting, as if it wasn't written by me at all.
"it's funny how things always seem so much simpler when you're watching from the periphery.
as human beings we're often quick to judge and criticise the actions and decisions of others;
it's easy to see things when there's no emotional attachment involved, and we can pick out the most sensible route with little trouble.
but ironically, i think it's also this emotional attachment which makes us human.
animals are driven by instinct, but human beings are driven and guided by sentiment.
perhaps people can never truly fully understand one another.
as friends or family, we can sympathise, empathise, speculate and console, but never truly comprehend.
everyone has different personalities, different memories, different emotions..and these are what form the basis of emotional attachment.
in all fairness, no one can really say 'if i were her/him, i would...', simply because they are not her/him, and would never be able to put themselves precisely in her predicament.
someone recently told me 'things are only as complicated as you want them to be'
maybe the phrase 'it's complicated' really is just an excuse, a cowardly escape route in order to avoid taking responsibility for making certain decisions."
haha sounds like some gp essay ! im such a weirdo.
and i 'll let you know, when it comeswhen it comes i'll let you knowbut don't stay up for medon't wait up for me if i'm not home
